2,200 Realmadrid fans returned tickets for Champions League final
Exactly 2,200 Real Madrid fans have returned their tickets for the Champions League final against Liverpool. Obviously, more could follow suit.
Logistical difficulties and the cost of travelling to Kiev, as well as the inflated price of accommodation in the Ukrainian capital, is the reason for so many fans backing out.
Some notable factors warrant this: it will take fans to travel 1,783 miles to get to Kiev, Ukraine; the plane ticket which will cost nothing less than £1000 (fans willing to drive from Spain can expect a 34-hour journey through France, Germany, and Poland to reach Ukraine); and the hotel prices have skyrocketed over the past few days.
